This was taken at a stoplight from across the street with my telephoto lens. I am actually quite surprised this turned out. :)
Ok....so I had the other version of this with the face in shadow and now that I look at this one, I prefer it. I still love the darn statue though. :)
Another piece of statuary that I happened upon this morning.
Here is an environmental shot of Kathryn that I took yesterday. I love the fact that she is surrounded on all sides by her art. Awesome.
Thanks for letting me take your pic lady!
:)
So here is my portrait of Chris!!! Yay! There were a lot of other ones that I liked as well but there is a problem with either my viewer or my flickr account that I must fix. :(
Thanks a million Mr. Christopher!!!!
So there is this online game that I use to play called Jigsaw Detective. Silly, yes it's true but I loved it because all of the puzzles were clues and looked alot like this. Tee Hee!
:)
Who knows what could be hidden under the ashtray?!?!?!
I was taking my lunch at Araya's today when I noticed a beautiful doll hanging by one of the tables. I asked one of the ladies if I could take a picture of it and here it is. Since it was a rather overcast day and it was in the middle of a dimly lit restaurant I had to really up the grain factor due to the high film speed. Also I took the shot with my point and shoot which doesn't allow me the versatility that my DSLR does. Normally I would chunk all of the pics if they turned out with this much grain but I believe it added character to this doll and to the pic in general.
This is a mask I found in the front window of a store in Snohomish.
Ok...so I have officially decided that I am going for more cinematic shots. So I have changed, for the time being, to a widescreen 16:9 aspect ratio and a more defined mood. Well, a bit more defined for me. :) This is an example of that, I hope. :)
I wanted to play around with depth of field on this one.
Here is a texture wall that I fell in love with. It was taken in Snohomish today when I made a little trip to shoot something different. Also, it is my first in the project365 challenge which is a group where you shoot a pic every day for a year. YAY!
I found this kid trying to climb the railing at the Ballard Locks yesterday.
I realized that I missed something in the original, so here is the updated one. Enjoy!
Pat, you rock my friend! Thank you. :)
This was taken on July 22nd and it remains high on my favorites list. I actually purchased a filter to reduce reflection on future shots but after looking at this picture again, it makes me love the depth it gives the picture.
Actually, I think this shot doesn't need any work as well. So I guess I just lied earlier. :)
The sharpness is actually good in this one...so it's not so bad. :)
So here is my shot of Alex! YAY! I wanted a more edgy feel to this one hence the fence and poster work in the background.
Happiness! =D
You rule my friend. This is a great shot of you and I hope you love it. Thanks again. :D
This is the official Carol submission for Day One of the Portrait Challenge. Yay!
I wanted to represent some of the awesome graffiti that I witness in a more controlled light. If you hone in on some of the individual and more detailed elements, you can find awesome capsules of greatness.
Tee Hee. This just reminded me of a serial killer's day job. :)
Tee Hee. I liked the feel of this sign. It reminds me of a film set from the 40s.
This is one of my favorite shots from today. This is a vendor table at Pike Place of ribbon veils.
Terrifying!!!!!!! Not the picture, of course, but this frakkin' challenge. I have planned out most of the portraits for the month but I am still nervous. :(
I really like this pic of Carol.
